Discover MARINENVIRONMENT

MARINENVIRONMENT is a service provided to display information on the environmental quality of the Mediterranean Sea.

The information available concerns environmental indicators, numerical model outputs and satellite data shown as maps or time-series. Moreover, state-of-the-art literature describing the environmental status of the Mediterranean Sea is available. 

The data catalogue considers: 

  • environmental indicators
  • numerical models outputs
  • satellite and in-situ observations

The MARINENVIRONMENT allows you to select different timeframes for the variables shown (e.g. monthly, seasonal).

 

MARINENVIRONMENT is a product of the TESSA project, created by: 

  • Centro Euro-Mediterraneo sui Cambiamenti Climatici (CMCC) is responsible for the research activity, the production and delivery of the data through its IT infrastructure and the development of the web application
  • Links S.p.A., responsible for the deployment of the DSS on the web
  • Istituto per l'Ambiente Marino e Costiero (CNR-IAMC) is responsible for the development and operational use of forecast systems for the Strait of Sicily and the Tyrrhenian Sea
